Bulletproof Day Care Center
Bet El has the second highest per capita birth rate in Israel, with over 100 babies born each year. One of the two Day Care Centers, serving 60 children ages 3 months to 3 years, is housed in a 20-year-old prefab building, which is not bulletproof. The Day Care center lies less than 200 feet away from the community border, facing in the direction of Ramallah. Some of the neighboring houses have been hit by bullets over the past two years.

The Local Council is raising money to relocate the Day Care Center away from the fence, in a new modern bulletproof building. 
The cost of construction is $320,000.

• A donor in Armagh, Northern Ireland donated a telephone/fax machine and a laptop computer for the 24-hour Crisis/Communication Center
  Received 26 winter jackets from a family in Scranton, PA that were distributed, through Neve Tzuf and the Binyamin Regional Council, to needy families and elderly residents of the Binyamin Region.
  A family from Scranton, PA  donated 18 Streamlite rechargeable flashlights, 10 replacement bulb assemblies, 2 nightvision binoculars, 30 thermo undershirts and 30 winter jackets.
• A Synagogue from Teaneck, NJ donated US $70,000 towards the purchase of a multi-purpose bulletproof van.  
  The Binyamin Regional Council has supplied matching funds towards the purchase and maintenance of this van which has been transporting special needs children in Binyamin as well as fulfilling other transportation needs.
• A donor supplied funds for the purchase of 10 sets of Motorola "Talkabout Walkie – Talkie  radios".
• The Binyamin Regional Council donated equipment for one sharp shooter (binoclars, Trijicon, Mini-scope Nite Vision) and one set of Night –Vision Binoclars.
• A donor from Neve Tzuf supplied the funds for a small generator.
• A Synagogue from Teaneck, NJ donated funds for installation of automatic ignition of our emergency generators. 
  A donor from Melbourne, Australia donated the funds to establish an art therapy treatment center.
